APPLICATIONS
- Status Monitoring of devices such as: Lights, Fans, Air-Conditioners, Solenoids, Valves, etc
- Energy Management Systems (EMS)
- Building Control Systems (BCS)
- Home Automation
The CS-05 AC Current Sensor uses a current transformer to sense the amount of current drawn by a load and activates a relay when the current exceeds a pre-set level (as low as 100 milliamperes). Because a current transformer is used instead of a shunt/burden resistor, the CS-05 generates virtually no heat which makes it ideal for prolonged monitoring purposes.
Input voltage must be supplied at all times for proper operation. Adjust the desired trigger level by monitoring the load current while turning the adjustment knob until the LED lights up (indicating that the status relay is energized) at the desired load current. The CS05 module is now configured and will turn the status relay on and off when the load current is above or below the preset trigger level respectively.
