Overview
The MR-4L Line Monitoring (Wirebreak) Relay is a supervisory module which continually monitors the status of the field wiring by monitoring the current passing through the supervised loop. Each loop has a End-Of-Line Resistor (EOLR) placed at the end of the loop. When the wire in any of the four channel breaks, the current flowing through the loop is disrupted and the MR-4L detects this as a open-circuit fault and energizes the fault relay.
Features
- Input Voltage: 24 VDC
- Number of Monitored Channels/Loops: 4
- End-of-Line Resistor: 4.7 k-ohm (supplied)
- Individual Fault Indicator allows for easy location of faults.
- Output: Relay Contact (NO, NC, COM)
- DIN-Rail Mountable
Applications
The MR-4L is commonly used to monitor signal loop continuity for applications such as:
- Emergency Stop Push-buttons
- Smoke Detectors
- and more...
